BAGGAGE FEES AND HOW TO AVOID PAYING THEM?
The JetBlue Airlines baggage policy for regular basic fares includes:
- Carry-on baggage
- Checked baggage/ Hold baggage
- Oversized or Overweight bags
WHAT IS JETBLUE CARRY-ON BAGGAGE ALLOWANCE?
JetBlue Airlines allows its passengers 1 carry-on bag and 1 personal item per passenger for free. The personal item can be a purse, laptop bag, briefcase, etc.
- The maximum size of carry-on baggage should 45 linear inches (22*14*4) or 115 centimetres (56*36*23) including wheels and handles.
- It must fit in the overhead bin under the seat in front of your seat.
Depending on the aircraft, the maximum weight and size of the personal carry-on item should be:
- A321 aircraft: the size should not exceed 94 centimetres (43*33*28cms)
- A30 and E190 aircraft: the size should not exceed 94 centimetres (46*38*20cms)
WHAT IS JETBLUE CHECKED BAGGAGE/ HOLD LUGGAGE ALLOWANCE?
If checked bags are not included in the selected fare, then a customer has to pay an extra fee.
- The maximum weight of all checked bags should be 50 pounds or 23 kgs.
- The checked bags should not exceed the dimension of 62 linear inches or 158cms.
- Blue fares of JetBlue do not cover checked baggage cost.
- Blue Plus fare includes one bag.
- Blue Flex fare includes two bags.
BAGGAGE FEES
The fees must apply for baggage on JetBlue Airlines. The baggage fee depends on the type of fares you have purchased, destination, etc.
- Blue, Blue Basic, Blue Extra Fares- The fee for the first bag is $35
- Blue, Blue Basic, Blue Plus, Blue Extra Fares- the fee for the second bag is $45
- Blue, Blue Basic, Blue Plus, Blue Extra Fares, Mint Fares- the fee for the third bag is $150
NOTE- passengers are allowed to add up to 2 bags in advance.
WHAT ARE JETBLUE EXCESS BAGGAGE FEES?

JETBLUE AIRLINE FEES FOR OVERSIZE AND OVERWEIGHT BAGS
- $150 extra per bag will be charged for bags of 51-99 pounds or 24-45 kgs. Bags of 46 kg or 100 pounds will not be accepted as a checked baggage/ hold luggage.
- $150 extra per bag will be charged for bags that are from 63-80 linear inches or 158-203 centimetres. Bags greater than these dimensions will not be accepted.
